Introducing the 2021 3M National Teaching Fellowship Award Winners

Celebrating Some of the Country’s Best University and College Teachers

A special shout out to our community’s very own, Chantal Gibson who teaches in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology, at Simon Fraser University.
Chantal Gibson is an award-winning teacher and nationally acclaimed artist and writer whose anti-racism and decolonizing work is making an impact in her classrooms and in schools and cultural institutions across Canada.
As a visual artist, her work confronts anti-Black racism and colonialism head-on, undoing racial stereotypes and imagining BIPOC voices in the spaces and silences left by cultural and institutional erasure. In February of this year, Chantal was one of the panelist for Changing the Narrative, a virtual Black History Month workshop hosted by us, the NCBWF.
